Comment on That design is money!

I stumbled across this article while searching for ‘ATM experience’. I find the ATM represents a frequent point of human computer interaction and serves as a pretty good litmus test of how well we are suiting computers to human needs. Glad to see some intelligence and new life being breathed into the ATM.

I wonder if there are more ways to generate revenue for a bank from the customer experience at the ATM. For instance, “We see you have a money market fund”, “Would you like to deposit 10% of this transaction in that account?” There might have to be particular phrasing to present this option in accordance with SEC, etc.

However it happens, the ATM is bound to mature into something more than a mere teller and will be offering financial recommendations and guidance typically associated with other roles in a bank today.

Comment on Modular kit housing

I definately believe that affordability of a well designed, modern structure comes through sweat equity. Our new kit homes are eco-friendly, modern, and easy to build with each building component light enough for one or two people to easily carry and install. You can check out the Noble Homes at www.noble-home.net. Our “gallery” page has links to owners’ blogs. I’d be interested in what you think!

Comment on Modular kit housing

Hi beav, New World home offers modular housing with classically inspired design—so there’s even stuff out there fo rthsoe who crave a greek revival. not my personal aesthetice, but would for the minimal mod strucutres to get too carried a way and have neigbhorhoods turn into a sort of “after work” cube farms. THe hook is not just the convenience/quick factor of the build, but also i guess the modular consusturc is supposed to be green….. and we all not it’s not easy to be….
